Ubuntu 7.04

I've decided to install Ubuntu 7.04 on my laptop. My laptop is an Acer Aspire 1640 series. This laptop includes the following hardware:
15.1" widescreen display
Prism2 Chipset Wireless network card
Intel 915 video display chipset
Touchpad
Multiple USB ports
Some sort of audio device
CD/DVD burner
GB Ethernet
Some other things that I will add later.

The Laptop already has a 60GB drive which is divided onto 2 x 30GB partitions. One partition has WindowsXP and one partition has Ubuntu 6.06 installed.

Initially, I want to set up Ubuntu and get all major hardware working. This is much harder than it sounds. I encountered numerous problems trying to install Ubuntu 6.06. See my Ubuntu 6.06 error diary.

So, I've decided to start up a blog to keep track of the numerous issues I have regarding software development and general technical issues. I intend to use this as a reference to problems which I have encountered and solved so that they may be easily solved the next time they come up. Hopefully, this page will provide help to people with similar problems.
